UPDATE: Road has now reopened.
A section of Pearse Road in Sligo Town remains closed today following a road traffic collision yesterday.
The incident involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian occurred at around 3.30pm Saturday afternoon.
The route from the Sligo Park Hotel to the Carraroe roundabout is closed to traffic as Gardaí conduct a forensic examination of the scene.

Motorists are advised there is no estimate on when the route will reopen.
