Section of R263 remains closed following road-traffic collision

A section of the R263 in south west Donegal remains closed this morning following a road-traffic collision on Friday evening.

A five-year-old boy was hospitalised following the collision at Largy at around 5pm.

He is being treated at Sligo University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

No other injuries have been reported.

Local diversions are in place.

A technical examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will take place this morning.

Investigations are ongoing.
