Serious concern has been raised over the current state of some crash barriers in south Donegal.
The safety infrastructure in some areas is said to have eroded away so badly that they will soon be unfit for purpose.

While there are funding avenues through the TII for national routes, the problem barriers are located on regional roads with calls on Donegal County Council to request a specific funding package from Government to carry out the works.
