Serious road accident at Calry - Road remains closed this evening

There's been a serious road traffic accident at Calry in Sligo.

The incident occurred earlier this evening when two vehicles were involved in a collision on the R278 road.

Emergency services attended the scene and a number of roads in the area were closed off, and remain closed off this evening.

Diversions are in place.

Gardai are currently at the scene, and investigations into the accident are ongoing.
