Shock as rescued cat found covered in pellet shots

A cat covered in shotgun pellets has been rescued in the Mountcharles area.

The cat was taken in by charity Donegal Animals in Need in recent days.

A spokesperson for the charity revealed that seven pellets were removed and an x-ray showed a further eight pellets were located deeper in his body.

The cat, named Ethan, is now recovering from his ordeal.

Gardai has been notified of the incident.
