People are being asked to contact their GP or GP Out of Hours Service first due to significant delays at Sligo University Hospital's outpatient and emergency departments today.
Management at the hospital are encouraging those with appointments to attend but say to be prepared for delays .
Due to the cyber attack on the HSE computer network, staff are forced to manually record all information.
Dr. Karen Harris, Consultant in Emergency Medicine say they have already had to cancel a large number of appointments since May 14th and it will take many weeks to catch up.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Dr Harris says things are 'far from being back to normal yet.'
