Significant number without power this morning

Over 1,500 homes, farms and businesses across the north west are without power this morning.

Heavy showers of rain as well as strong winds resulted in lots of power cuts across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

1,300 are affected in Bundoran, 112 in Aghagad while there are 69 and 70 in Collooney and Manorhamilton respectively.

The ESB are currently working to restore power in the areas affected.

The cuts come as counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are all under a status yellow wind and rain warning until 3pm on Sunday afternoon.

All three counties will then be under a status yellow wind warning from 3pm until 12 midnight.
