Sinn Fein MEP says party should consider a candidate to run in president election

The Sinn Fein MEP Matt Carthy says his party should give strong consideration to backing and endorsing a suitable candidate to contest the presidential elections.

The Midlands North-West MEP says the presidential elections should be contested.

And he says the suitable candidate should represent “a modern and progressive vision”:
