Sinn Fein TD says new arrivals from Ukraine will not be able to secure own accommodation

A Sligo Leitrim TD says proposals that will force new arrivals from Ukraine arriving in Ireland to secure their own accommodation after three months will simply not work.

Reports says that those fleeing the war from the Ukraine will only be offered State accommodation for just three months before having to find their own place to live.

It's understood the Government is working on a new policy with a memo due to go before Cabinet soon.

Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny says that with private rental property at a premium many will have no hope of securing a place to live.
