Sinn Féin's Brian Carr has officially been co-opted onto Donegal County Council.
The motion was proposed at today's meeting at the council.
The Glenties native will replace the outgoing Councillor, Marie Therese Gallagher.
Back in February, Marie Therese Gallagher announced that she would not be seeking re-election to the council. She has served on the council since 2007.

Brian Carr was also selected to contest the upcoming Local Election in June for Sinn Féin at a convention on February 27th.
