Ocean FM has been nominated for six national IMRO radio awards this year.
The shortlist, announced this morning, reveals that Ocean has received the second highest number of nominations of all local radio stations in Ireland.
Ocean's General Election Count coverage and Exit Poll initiative is shortlisted for the Digital and Social Innovation Award.
The North West Today show is nominated as Best Interactive Speech Programme.
The Francie Boylan Show is nominated for Radio Moment of the Year.
The broadcast of the virtual Kieran Quinn Theme Night during Covid lockdown is shortlisted for Irish Music Initiative.
And there are individual nominations for Austin O'Callaghan, as Local Sports Broadcaster of the Year, and for Niall Delaney, as Local Speech Broadcaster of the Year.
This year's awards will be a virtual event, and will take place on Friday, 2nd October.
