Sligo has been revealed as one of the top counties for average hours of sunlight.
Energia has analysed all 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland in the months of January, April, May and August with Sligo recording 1304.28 hours of Sunlight, putting it sixth nationally.

Elsewhere in the north west, 1283.76 hours were recorded in Donegal, while in Leitrim, 1267.20 hours of Sunlight were recorded.
The top three saw three east coast counties in Wexford, Waterford and Wicklow, with Cork in fourth.
