Sligo and Donegal local authorities win big at National Awards

Sligo and Donegal County Councils have both won top accolades at the 2025 LAMA All-Ireland Community and Council Awards.

Sligo County Council won two awards, Best Tourism Initiative for Queen Maeve Square, and Best Enterprise and Start-Up Hub category for the AIM Centre.

While the Council of the Year Award was given to Donegal County Council.

The awards took place in Cork, and they recognise excellence in local government and community initiatives that enhance quality of life, foster economic growth, and celebrate cultural heritage.
