Sligo Co Co defers the adoption of Traveller Accommodation Plan

Sligo County Council has deferred the adoption of a five-year Traveller accommodation plan.

The decision was taken by councillors yesterday on the proposal of Independent Socialist Cllr Declan Bree and seconded by People Before Profit Cllr Gino O Boyle.

The Sligo Traveller Support Group had requested the deferral until September to allow time for a number of issues to be resolved.

Among those at the meeting yesterday was Jamie Muprhy of the Sligo Traveller Support Group.
