The number of people accessing homeless accommodation in the northwest has risen to 84 according to new figures released by the Department of Housing
Sligo continues to top latest homeless figures in the Northwest with 51 people currently in homeless accommodation in the county, an increase of 5 people
In Leitrim and Donegal, the figure rose to 33 at the end of July, compared to 29 at the end of June
11 families with 22 children accessed emergency accommodation during the last week of July in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal
Nationally, a record number of people are in emergency homeless accommodation, at 10,568
The figures include 3,100 children, but exclude rough sleepers.
