Sligo Councillor believes visitor centre at Gortarowey would be a 'no brainer' 

Plan are afoot to carry out a feasibility study with a view towards developing a visitor centre at the Gortarowey Forest Walk.

The route has become hugely popular over the years and it's thought that having a centre there would incorporate several other projects by Coillte and Sligo County Council.

Councillor Marie Casserly is hopeful that the study will be the first step in what could be a major amenity for the area, showcasing everything thats on offer in Sligo.
