Sligo councillor calls for improved broadband and phone coverage plans to be fast-tracked

A Sligo councillor believes planned projects of improved broadband and phone coverage in the south Sligo area must be fast-tracked.

Ballymote and the surrounding areas have been deemed as the epicentre of the problem with fears that it could be years before that matter is fully resolved.

Fine Gael Councillor Dara Mulvey has contacted ComReg for an immediate update as it relates to the rollout of an improved service in the area.

Councillor Mulvey says that a substandard service is unacceptable in this day and age:
