Sligo councillor calls for the provision of a pedestrian crossing at Markievicz Line

It's hoped that a pedestrian crossing can be installed in a problematic area of Sligo Town.

Markievicz Line is home to a large population with concern crossing the road has become treacherous.

Sligo County Council says they will look at funding avenues next year with a view towards progressing the project further.

Local People Before Profit Cllr Gino O'Boyle says its important that the Council pursue the matter in the interest of health and safety for local residents:
