Sligo Councillor confident of programme for government being ratified despite concessions to Independents

Fianna Fail members will convene for a special ard fheis this weekend to vote on the draft Programme for Government.

Party members received an email earlier this week inviting them to a Dublin hotel for the ard fheis and were told they would be presented with a draft Programme for Government for approval.

Sources in Fianna Fáil were believed to be against giving the Independents a full cabinet ministry.

Sligo FF Councillor Paul Taylor says the proposed programme for government should be accepted by FF
