Sligo Councillor expresses concern over lack of public toilets

Sligo County Council has come under fire over a lack of public toilets in the town centre.

A number of Cllrs voiced their concerns on the issue at the latest sitting of Sligo County Council however the Council says there is no short term plan for the provision of a specific facility.

As an interim measure, the Council is encouraging local businesses to sign up to the 'Nice Toilet Scheme' which allows the public avail of their facilities.

However, People Before Profit Cllr Gino O'Boyle says in reality this plan isn't ideal and is calling for temporary public toilets to be installed at certain points in the town:
