Sligo Councillor fears for future of Fianna Fáil

A Sligo Fianna Fáil Councillor has expressed concerns for the future of Fianna Fáil if they push ahead with the proposed collation with Fine Gael to form the next government.

 

The concerns have been raised by Sligo Drumcliff Councillor Donal Gilroy.

Cllr Gilroy says that Party Leader Michael Martin has done a U turn on pre-election promises of not entering into government with Fine Gael.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM news Donal Gilroy says Fianna Fail should not have ruled out doing a deal with Sinn Fein so early in the government formation process.

Donal Gilroy feels a national Government would have been a better option would be better for the Country and for the Fianna Fáil party at present:
