Sligo Councillor says apology to to the victims of illegal adoptions is not enough

A Sligo councillor has described the apology from The Children's Minister, Roderic O'Gorman to the victims of illegal adoptions in this country as ‘underwhelming’

Minister O Gorman apologised for the 'deep hurt' experienced by people affected by illegal birth registrations yesterday in the Seanad.

Sligo Councillor, Cllr Gino O Boyle who has personal experience of family members looking to establish information in relation to adoptions in Ireland.

The Solidarity People before Profit Councillor says yesterday's apology has failed to provide closure for many.
