Electric Ireland say they will also forgo its profits next year and have pledged to increase its Hardship Fund by €2 million to €5 million.
Sligo-Strandhill Councillor Arthur Gibbons says Electric Ireland have failed to take into consideration the hardship that many families are experiencing with living costs such as electricity rising significantly over the past year:
