Sligo County Council to set up pyrite committee

Sligo County Council is to set up a committee to deal with the issue of pyrite in homes in the county.

It's similar to a move in Donegal and Mayo where Mica and pyrite committees, involving the local authority, are already in place.

Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy, who proposed the setting up of the committee at yesterday's meeting of Sligo County Council, explained why he feels it is needed.
