Sligo has a new temporary litter warden.
Brian Courtney takes up his new role this week following recent interviews for a traffic and litter warden.
Meanwhile, Minister Denis Naughten has announced funding to help local authorities to deal with litter.
Some of the money will go toward using covert surveillance and it's understood Sligo County Council will be installing cameras at certain blackspots.
