Sligo hotel evacuated in weekend fire incident

An investigation is continuing into a weekend fire in a hotel car park in Sligo.

The blaze broke out on the ground of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Rosses Point in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It's reported that at least one vehicle went on fire directly adjacent to the hotel.

The hotel was evacuated as a precaution while the fire service and ambulance also attended the scene.

The fire was subsequently extinguished by local Fire Services.

Guest were eventually allowed back into the hotel after about an hour and there were no reports of any injuries.
