Sligo IFA chairperson urges vigilance on farms as Safety Week begins

Farm safety week starts today.

Sligo County IFA Chairperson Kathleen Henry says that while the highlighting of farm safety is an ongoing issue, farming continues to be one of the most dangerous occupations.

And it's appropriate that it begins on a Monday; research has shown that it's the day on which the most accidents occurs on farms, as she told our reporter Harry Keaney:
