Sligo has been included in a yellow rain warning coming into effect this afternoon.
A previous 12-hour warning had been issued from 3pm tomorrow for counties Mayo, Galway, Clare and Limerick.
Sligo has now been added to that list.
Cork and Kerry will also be bracing themselves for heavy rain later on today.

The heavy rain will bring possibilities of localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions, and motorists are advised to exercise caution on the roads.
