Sligo Labour Party member calls for overhaul of how early-years education is provided

A local member of the Labour Party has called for a total overhaul of the way in which early childhood care and education is provided.

Sligo Leitrim Labour Party member John Davey has also called for fully funded support by the government to allow them to remain open.

Mr Davey says the government needs to redefine who are classed as frontline workers so as healthcare workers can have first call on early years services.
