Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal each record decrease in number on Live Register

Counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal each recorded a decrease in the number of people on the live register during the month of March.

There were 1,746 people on the register in County Leitrim in March, representing a 3% decrease.

2,338 people were signing on in Sligo last month, a decrease of 2.17% while the figure has fallen 2% to 8,782 in Donegal.

Nationally, the number of people on the Live Register fell by 0.2% over the month to March.

There were 174,500 people on the register in March, according to the CSO.

That’s a decrease of 400 people in the month.
