A Donegal TD and a Sligo-Leitrim TD have been appointed government junior ministers.
Fianna Fail Deputy Charlie McConalogue, previously the Minister for Agriculture, is now the Junior Minister of State at the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media with Special Responsibility for Sport and Postal Policy.
Independent Deputy Marian Harkin who helped form part of the new government, is the new Junior Minister of State at the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science with special responsibility for Further Education, Apprenticeship, Construction and Climate Skills.
However, Fine Gael’s longest serving TD Frank Feighan has missed out on securing a ministerial position.
