UPDATE: Sligo, Leitrim boxers lose out on split decisions at World Youth Championships

Two boxers from the region have lost fights in the World Youth Championships in Budapest today, both on agonising split decisions.

This evening, Sligo's Dean Clancy, fighting in the flyweight division, lost out against American Asa Stevens.

Earlier, Leitrim boxer Dearbhla Rooney lost.

The Sean McDermott's featherweight was the first Irish boxer in action.
