Two people have been rescued after getting into difficulty on very steep ground in the region.
The alarm was raised at around 4.30pm yesterday evening.
Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue were tasked to the scene by Gardai and the National Ambulance Service.
Weather conditions were said to be very poor with high winds and rain.

Both casualties were assesed on site and were then stretchered of the hill and handed over to the waiting Ambulance crews.
The operation was subsequently stood down at 9.20pm last night.
