The Sligo/Leitrim Mountain Rescue Team are issuing advice for those who may find themselves in difficulty in woodlands.
The team were tasked to Bricklieve Mountains in Co. Sligo on Sunday after two people got lost and disoriented in very dense and dangerous forest.
They were safely located, cold but relieved, at around 5.20pm after two hours of searching.
Alan Sayers, PRO with Sligo/Leitrim Mountain Rescue says conditions in forests can be just as bad as mountains.
He says searching for people in wooded areas is the most difficult of all rescues.
