Sligo Mayor calls for reduction of age for free breast check

Sligo County Council is calling on the Minister for Health to lower the age for women's eligibility for Breast Check from 50 to 21.

People Before Profit Councillor Gino O Boyle says women under 50 wanting a scan have to pay for it privately.

He says the sooner any abnormalities are detected, the better the chance of cure.
