The Mayor's Ball is taking place in Sligo tonight.
It's held every year in aid of local charities and the current mayor Thomas Healy is holding it in aid of the North Wes Hospice, Temple Street in Dublin and the Motor Neuron Association.
CEO of the Football Association of Ireland John Delaney is the guest speaker tonight
The Sligo Association of Chicago is also attending the event and Mayor Thomas Healy says a planned twinning initiative is another opportunity to promote Sligo:
