Sligo mourns the loss of well-known businessman

The death has occurred of Kieran Horan who, for decades, was one of the best-known businessmen in Sligo.

He had been proprietor of Horan's Menswear in Castle Street in the town.

He was also a keen horse lover and hunt enthusiast, having been a former master of the County Sligo Harriers.

His funeral takes place on Tuesday to Sligo cemetery after 11am funeral Mass in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Ransboro.
