Secondary school students from Sligo will join other students from across the globe today in a demonstration to highlight the need to tackle climate change .
Those protesting are calling for urgent action to prevent climate breakdown and ensure a sustainable future.
Students and other members of the public will assembly in the carpark of Summerhill College at 11:30am this morning.
Student at the Ursuline College in Sligo Leah McFadden explains why they felt it was important to take part in the
demonstration.
