Sligo University Hospital have issued a statement in response to the publication of a HIQA report into its inspection of three areas at the facility last July.
In a statement to Ocean FM news on Wednesday afternoon, hospital management say they welcome the publication by the health watchdog.

Sligo University Hospital say they “recognise the important and valuable role of HIQA in assessing and promoting safety and quality in the healthcare services.”
They say that significant work has been carried out on all areas where the hospital was found to be non-compliant or partially compliant with work commencing on a number of areas prior to the inspection.
