Sligo University Hospital is the third most overcrowded facility in the country today.
According to the latest Trolley Watch figures from the INMO, there are 40 patients waiting for a bed there this morning.
There were only more in University Hospital Limerick, with 70, and Cork University Hospital with 46.
Elsewhere in the North West, there were 20 people awaiting admission in Letterkenny University Hospital, bringing the total for the region to 60.
Nationwide, today's figure stands at 400 people on trolleys in hospitals around the country.
