Despite an overall decline in the number of patients being treated on trolleys, Sligo University Hospital was the third highest in the country.
The latest figures from the INMO's Trolley Watch report showed that Sligo had 41 patients being attended to without a bed.
University Hospital Limerick were the highest with 99, followed by University Hospital Galway with 66.
Letterkenny University Hospital had 18 patients, down from yesterday's number of 19.
