A number of rescue services have been called out across the region this week.
Two callouts were made in Sligo and in Donegal yesterday.
The Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue team were tasked to a callout yesterday, when a casualty sustained a leg injury while climbing Knocknarea.
The callout was made by the National Ambulance Service.
The rescue team's stretcher party made their way to the casualty's location, and an assessment was carried out by the medic. The casualty was then brought via stretcher down the mountain by the rescue team, and was brought to Sligo University Hospital for further treatment in the awaiting ambulance.
In Donegal, training came to a halt last night after the Killybegs Coastguard were tasked by Rescue 118 to secure a landing zone for the rescue helicopter. The zone was secured at Killybegs GAA pitch at 5.45pm yesterday evening.
A casualty was brought to the landing zone via ambulance, and was brought on board under directions from the winchman to the aircraft while it was still running, as time was of the essence for the seriously ill patient.
Once safely aboard, the casualty was brought straight to hospital for further treatment.
Killybegs Coastguard have thanked Killybegs GAA for the use of their facilities in an emergency.
