Sligoman helping raise awareness of haemochromatosis

A north west board member of the Irish Haemochromatosis Association says awareness of the medical condition is the first step toward treating it.

Philip Maree was speaking today at the start of World Haemochromatosis Awareness Week.

Haemochromatosis is excess iron in the blood and can produce a variety of symptoms.

Philip Maree says raising awareness about the condition is vital.
