A status yellow snow and ice alert has been issued for Donegal and Leitrim.
The warning also applies to Cavan, Monaghan, Longford and Westmeath.
Met Eireann has issued number of weather warnings for rain and snow.

The state meteorological service are warning that there is the potential for icy stretches on untreated roads and poor visibility this morning.
A yellow rain warning is in place for Dublin, Louth, Meath and Wicklow valid until 3am tomorrow.
