Snow & ice warning issued for north west

A snow and ice warning has been issued for the north west and will come into effect this afternoon.

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow warning for icy conditions in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

The warning is also in place for Mayo.

The same band of icy conditions will affect the counties until 11am on Thursday morning.

Difficult travelling conditions, poor visibility and temporary ice patches can all be expected.
