Snow & ice warning issued for parts of north west

A snow and ice warning has been issued for parts of the north west and will come into effect on Saturday night.

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow warning for icy conditions in Donegal and Leitrim.

The warning is also in place for Cavan, Monaghan and Louth.

The same band of icy conditions will affect the counties from 10pm until 9am on Sunday morning.

Difficult travelling conditions, poor visibility and temporary ice patches can all be expected.
