Around 150 people have attended a rally in solidarity with refugees outside the GPO in Sligo this afternoon.
The rally was organised by the Sligo-Leitrim Labour Party.
The party say they organised the event in response to some groups who have been trying to blame the country's housing and health problems on the arrival of refugees.
Local Area Representative, Nessa Cosgrove, said at the rally, it was important to send out the message that this is not the case:
