South Donegal in need of foodbank to meet increasing demand for service

There is now sufficient demand for a foodbank to be established in South Donegal to supply individuals and families that are struggling with day to day existence.

That's according to the former Chairperson and committee member of the "Letterkenny We Care Foodbank" Billy Banda.

The Letterkenny Branch of the charity was established in 2014 and is currently supplying over 50 families from throughout the County with supplies on a daily basis.

Mr Banda says that by the time people from the South of the County make their way to Letterkenny their facility is often closed and families miss out on essential supplies.
