A motorist in south Donegal has been caught speeding on National Slow Down Day.
The driver was caught travelling at 117km/h in a 100km/h Zone on the N15 in the Ballyshannon area this morning.
Gardaí say they'll be out in force until 7am tomorrow monitoring speeds and carrying out checkpoints.
They are reminding motorists of the dangers of speeding and encouraging a national conversation on its impact.
