A local Sligo community will hold a special ceremony tomorrow on an island on Lough Gill which had been the final resting place of their ancestors for generations.
In the past, the People of Calry took their loved ones by boat to Church Island for burial.
A memorial headstone was recently erected on the island.
Tomorrow, Saturday, a special Mass for all those buried there will be offered and the headstone will be unveiled.

One of those involved in organising tomorrow's event, Brian Og McGauran, has been telling Ocean FM of the significance of Church Island for the people of Calry:
